Yin Yang Peace Bronze Necklace

The Chinese words Yin & Yang literally mean "shadow & light," and together describe how polar opposites are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world. The concept lies at the origins of classical Chinese science and philosophy. Yin and Yang are complementary forces, feminine and masculine, hidden and manifest, each distinct, and each necessary to the other.

Each pendant is made of Peace Bronze© and has an enamel color overlay on one side. It weighs approximately 6 grams and is 1" in diameter. It hangs on an 18" rolo chain made from brass and plated with silver. The chain is nickel-free and manufactured in the USA.

From War to Peace has patiently dug up the cabling connecting disarmed nuclear missile silos that was left in the soil of the American Midwest after the cold war. (Note the cabling is not radioactive and never has been.) The metals from the cabling were recycled into their pure forms, and the copper is now being used to create a wonderful alloy called Peace Bronze©. This creation is made from 95% copper, 4% silicon, and about 1% manganese---all of it recycled materials.
