Reducing Landfill by Knitting Socks

Solmate Socks begins their process by recovering scraps and offcuts from the production of T-shirts and other cotton products. These colorful, oddly shaped pieces of cloth are then ground up and re-spun into a “new” cotton yarn that is used to knit fun, colorful socks. It’s a brilliant way to reduce landfill and turn trash into treasure!

Free of Toxic Chemicals

While the origins of the cotton scraps are not necessarily organic, Solmate Socks doesn’t use any chemical finishes in their own production process. As an added measure, they have their socks certified by Oeko Tex who have found their socks to be toxin free!

Relish the Fun of Odd Socks with Solmate Socks

No matter how hard we try, socks always tend to go missing, and the smaller they are, the more likely they’ll get lost. Solmate has turned this annoyance into a bit of fun by offering mismatched socks in five-packs (yes—FIVE - as in “Two Pair with a Spare”) designed especially for kids.
