Sundrops are created in a NE Minneapolis backyard, using a three foot tall magnifying glass (technically a fresnel lens) to focus sunlight, which can produce a 'hot spot' reaching 3,000 degrees! The molten glass naturally forms an elegant droplet shape. Recycled silver is then threaded around the droplet and formed into a hook which can be attached to earwires or necklaces.
The glass comes from recycling used bottles and each piece is attached to a small recycled paper card for presentation. What a wonderful gift for yourself or someone else!
