Add a burst of color to your day. Texas native Loveleen Saxena is both the model and the artist for this bold, colorful scarf. She starts with pen and ink line drawings, for this piece she was inspired by swirls and spirals. Once the drawing is complete, she adds color to create a final design. The resulting piece of art is printed on sustainable modal fabric using water-based inks to create wearable art.
The artwork behind this piece is called Spirals and Circles. After creating the pen and ink drawing, she got creative with both the colors and the cropping, and produced two unique scarf designs from that one art piece. The hang tag on this shawl/scarf contains a mini-print of the full artwork for you to enjoy. This version focuses on the "spirals" with bold, blue spirals at the center, large pink semi-circles at the ends and a plethora of smaller spirals in varying shades of yellows, oranges, pinks and lavenders throught the scarf.
The scarf itself is lightweight modal that moves and drapes beautifully. It's very large at approximately 28" wide by 78" long. Can be worn as a shawl or a scarf in any weather. Change the folds to highlight different colors or patterns each time you wear it. Your purchase supports independ artists and small woman-owned businesses.
