Three hearts dangle, one from the next, in this large and light weight statement piece. Each heart has a variety of mini-heart designs etched into the bright aluminum giving contrast and beauty to the overall look.
The three hearts total 5 1/2" long. They hang on a multi-strand, all-recycled aluminum chain approximately 18" long (length may vary slightly from piece to piece.)
Hand made in North Carolina from Recycled Aluminum. Jay personally gets the aluminum from a scrap yard each month. Most of it comes in cable form, which he strips and separates. His designs have become so popular, he can't always get enough recycled material to fill all the orders. He supplements the recycled bits with new aluminum, so the exact percent of recycled content can vary month to month. Of course, making the jewelry also results in scrap aluminum, which is reused for a zero-waste approach.
The aluminum will not tarnish. Can be cleaned regularly with mild soap and water. Gently rub with a fine piece of steel wool and then wash with mild dish soap and water for occasional heavier cleaning or to brighten up the look.
